In Full Bloom, a Curated Show in the Searle & Reid Hodges Galleries
Using sterling silver and precious and semi-precious stones, I have created my own interpretation of flowers for this exhibit. Also, a few pieces of my mosiac tile work are being shown as part of this exhibit.

Thursday Jan. 19, 5-7pm.

In Full Bloom is a companion exhibit to the "Blossom II - Art of Flowers Exhibit at Art Center Manatee, an amazing exhibit.

The exhibit - January 18- February 29

Jewelry Art by Clara Ricker On the second Wednesday of each month, from 7 to 9 pm, we transform the Bishop Planetarium lobby into the think + drink (science) cafe, a place where you can lounge on a couch, grab a beer or a glass of wine (or a soft drink) and learn about cutting-edge science in a relaxed, informal setting. Typically our "expert du jour" gives a short presentation on the topic of the month, and then opens the floor for questions and discussion. Drinks and bar snacks available for purchase. Feel free to bring food.
think + drink (science) is FREE and open to all ages, but we appreciate RSVPs so we know how many to plan for.
Reservations appreciated:

CLARA RICKER

Did you ever wonder about the origin of the gold you are wearing?
Maybe an ancient Egyptian wore it 6500 years ago
Maybe it was an ancient coin or statue that was melted down and recycled
Gold is the ultimate recyclable material, pure, beautiful, ductile, malleable and tarnish resistant

Artist of the Month
Clara Ricker

Nature Inspired Artist
Jewelry artist Clara Ricker is inspired by the beauty and nature of Florida’s Gulf Coast. As a teacher, artist and President of the Board for West Coast Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths Clara is incredibly busy but still manages to take in her surroundings and translate that beauty into her art. She creates wearable sea turtles, flowers and birds using silver, gold and stones such as opal, chrysophase and labradorite. Hand-forged and beautifully designed, her creatures and plant life are charming and unique. The Artists’ Market at ArtCenter Manatee has Clara’s flora and fauna on display today.
